Abstract

Present study was carried out to evaluate the bioefficacy of various plant protection compoundsof
natural and synthetic origin and their combination for control of major pests of sugar beet viz.,
Spodopteralitura, Spoladearecurvalis and Tetranychusurticae. The plant protection agents used
includedfoliar application ofthiodicarb, chlorpyriphos, quinolphos, neem oil, Bt, SlNPV and their
combinations at different doses for management of lepidopterans; acaricides such as Triazophos,
Ethion, Dicofol, wettable sulphur for management of red spider mitesand seed treatment with
thiamethoxam, imidachlorprid and chlorphyriphosfor management of S. recurvalisin separate field
trials
