Creep deformation of Spherical shell due to Compressibility and Pressure

Abstract

This paper presents study of creep behaviour in the spherical shell due to compressibilty and
pressure. The modern theory of deformation is applicable to numerous problems of shell
structures under influence of internal pressure based on creep transition. The conditions of
classical theory of deformation are not taken here like incompressibilty and Von mises yield
criterian. The mathematical model of the research paper can be used in mechanical
engineering to design shells by taking into consideration of compreesibilty and pressure. It is
seen that thinner spherical shells yield at lower values of the pressure when contrasted with
the thicker shells. The results are derived theoretically and shown graphically.
