Secure User Interface for Passwords

Abstract

Design of new user interface for entering passwords in secured way is provided here. Virtual
keyboards have become very common so as to avoid keystroke logging. Even though malwares can
observe and the display and mouse clicks to get the data logged through virtual board, it is relatively
harder than getting the work done through keyloggers. In this paper, several user interfaces for passwords
are discussed and we propose a new scheme with the virtual keyboard by placing it in random places on
the webpage by, time to time. Color and font boxes are also added with virtual keyboard. The random
placement of virtual keyboard, color, font and chosen passwords can stand as efficient way of
authentication.
