Studies on sol-gel driven dip coated ZnO thin films
Abstract
ZnO is a substantially accepted semiconductor for the many optoelectronic, piezoelectric, thermal
devices. The present article focuses on synthesis of ZnO thin film on glass substrate usinga cost
effect, clean and facile sol-gel driven dip coating deposition method. The process parameters are
optimized to achieve low thickness (~35 nm) ZnO thin films. The film is characterized by X-ray
diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy and photoluminesce to analyze structural and optical
properties. The results shows that sol-gel driven dip coating deposition technique can be a good
choice to synthesize low thickness ZnO thin films for thin film photovoltaic applications.
