Abstract

This study based on the thermal stability of cook stove through determination of energy efficiency of
cookstove fired by using peanutshell, need of cookstove is maximum in village areas in developing
countries. In ancient time self designed cookstove used but their efficiency was very low and they emitted
unburnt hydrocarbons which created environmental problems and health issues to the users. In this study
ARTI cookstove used for efficient energy production and peanutshell characterized for proximate
analysis, density, calorific value and FTIR for identification of functional groups and water boiling test
for energy and exergy analysis. This study highly motivated to use biomass for energy production , by
using cookstove, gasifieres and boilers, throughout the study carried out the results that thermal efficiency
of cookstove and exergy analysis of cookstove.
