Abstract

Women in modern society today know how to pursue their careers and interests while they enjoy working and earning. In todays society women are coming forward to establish their own enterprises to demonstrate business management skills they possess. Being in metropolitan city like Bangalore, the standard of living sometimes forces women to have a business enterprise to contribute to her family living. With a lot of encouragement from Indian government women are coming up to establish their business concern and carry it out successfully. In that process due to various factors women are facing imbalance between their personal and professional life. This causes stress in women where she cannot completely focus on both personal and professional life leading to work-life imbalance. This study deals with understanding the level of work-life balance experienced by women entrepreneurs in South Bangalore. The study is descriptive in nature. The respondents for this study are women entrepreneurs from South Bangalore. Around 50 women entrepreneurs have been chosen for this study using a technique of convenient sampling. The responses so collected have been analysed using different statistical techniques and findings and suggestions have been proposed.
