A BRIEF REVIEW ON NEGATIVE THERMAL EXPANSION BEHAVIOR IN FRAMEWORK PB ANALOGS

Abstract

Physics of positive thermal expansion behavior in materials is well known. However, the
counter intuitive opposite behavior, i.e., negative thermal expansion (NTE) is not unusual
anymore. In some materials NTE is not completely understood. In this work, we present a brief
review on NTE behavior of some open frame work materials which are known as Prussian Blue
(PB) Analogs.
