Abstract

The generalized theories of thermoelasticity with two temperature is used to study the
deformation in homogeneous, isotropic thermoelastic half-space as result of disc load. The
components of stress, conductive temperature and temperature distribution are transformed by
using technique of numerical inversion. For a particular model, the impact of two temperature
and influence of relaxation times of thermoelastic theories (Lord and Shulman (L-S), Green and
Lindsay (G-L)) on the resulting quantities are presented graphically. Various cases of interest
are concluded from the present investigation.
