CASE STUDY ON PREDICTING STUDENTS PERFORMANCE USING MACHINE LEARNING APPROACH

Abstract

Students performance is one of the major component of teaching and learning process. We are in
digital era where major activities of academic process is being recorded in Learning Management
System or cloud based platform such as Moodle. Enormous amount of data is being generated and
if analyzed properly can help all the stake holders. Predicting students performance in prior can
be used for an early intervention if required. This paper present a case study on predicting
students performance by applying machine learning approaches UCI repository dataset and
presents the comparison of various algorithm in prediction of performance .
