Abstract

The Right to Education is a right for all the people residing under the Indian Constituency, and this was implemented in 2009. After a long discussion of many years and many renounced personalities in education Universalization of Elementary Education was implemented. There are many changes that have occurred after the amendment of this act, the results at some places are positive, but in most places, they are devastatingly negative. Once amended and implemented there are many problems faced at the grass root level of working of this act. There have been schemes to help achieve the expected results but there has been shocking revelation of how they actually worked. RTE has faced a number of challenges while being implemented, and mostly with the availability of all kinds of resources to run a school. There is a decline in every direction looked at, there are negative and positive impacts of RTE and there is supporting data to all the statements. This paper also includes suggestions about how to achieve the expected results, and so emphasis is laid upon mobile schooling for both the teachers and the students, and also on the use of PPP in this process.
