IDENTITY AND DIASPORA IN MONICA ALI’S IN THE KITCHEN
Abstract
Monica Ali, born on 20th October in 1967, is daughter of English mother and Bangladeshi father. Her birthplace is Dhaka, once a part of Pakistan, now Bangladesh. At the age of three, she moved to Bolton, Greater Manchester, North West England and went to Bolton School. She studied Philosophy, Economics, and Politics at Wadham College, Oxford.
