ICT and Rural Women Empowerment

Abstract

This conceptual paper emphasises on ICT and its role in empowerment of rural women. Ingeneral  women are less engaged with ICTS as compared to men . Information and Communication Technologies are not just for men but for everyone i.e women should be equally benefitted by this. ICT with other forms of communication medium has great potential to reach women , who are not reached by other media sources . It plays an important role in empowering them in making decisions on such issues which affect them.
