An Exploratory Study of Factors Influencing the Choice of Management Institutes

Abstract

In this era of high competition, understanding of students choice about the education institutions is one of the important decisions for sustaining in education sector. Advance education in India includes a critical quality issues. In recent aggressive education atmosphere students have several options. To examine facets that help education sectors to entice and maintain customers. This articles aim to investigate the parameters which students consider when they select any management institutes. For the purpose of this study, 691 responses were collected randomly from 43 colleges from four cities of Punjab i.e. Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Chandigarh. The data was analyzed by calculating percentage and applying exploratory factor analysis using SPSS. Results of this study indicated the seven main factors which influence the choice of the management college (Academic, Social & Personal factor, Placement, Financial incentives, Faculty & Staff,).
