Study of Green Management Practices in Higher Education (A Case Study of Commerce Colleges at Indore)

Abstract

Green Management is the important part of management of any institution. The main focus of green practices while initiating innovative practices is optimum operation ofresources with less consumption of time and paper. Paperless office is the tool of green management. Paper is used abundantly in every educational institution. Total work of the educational institution is divided into three parts namely academic activities, Office activities and support services for the convenience of study. The main objective of this research paper is to study green practices and awareness among management and employees. This research paper focuses on the two important aspect of green management. One of them is the paperless office and another is paperless employee. This research paper also focuses on the present system of documentation, examination system and teaching method adopted by teachers. The main conclusion of the research paper is that paper is being used in abundance in the commerce colleges of Indore. There is a lack of awareness of green management among the office staff and teachers of the commerce colleges.Due to government imperatives, paperwork has to be done.
