Knowledge Management: Need for Productive Output
Abstract
During recent years of development of business, knowledge management plays a vital responsibility in the present scenario, that is, the knowledge based economy. With the increase in threat for organisations at global as well as local levels, the growth of consumer oriented market resulted in competitive edge for many corporate to strengthen and share their awareness towards resources of knowledge as a means of generating significance that is sustainable over time.The various stages of management of knowledge needs to coordinate with the optimum utilization of internal and external sources of the organisation .Knowledge Management may be expressed as the processes which include: acquisition , research , search for, engender , recreate, conserve, and team-up the sources of knowledge. All of these terms have a common themethe accumulation of knowledge. Extension, expansion and novelty through research and development are important aspect of attainment of knowledge. The generation of innovative knowledge may be done by applying better version of traditional knowledge to comply with the new trends.A study of 165 respondents from 14 organisations in Indore has been studied. On the basis of responses a model has been proposedindicating Productive Output of Knowledge Management in organizations.
