Effectiveness of C3MS Model with Reference to Achievement in Education Psychology of B.Ed. Trainees

Abstract

The present study entitled effectiveness of C3MS model with reference to achievement in educational psychology of B.Ed. trainees related to teaching learning process and education technology. The Teaching learning process shifted from traditional method to innovative practices by implementing various innovations in the field of education technology. These Innovations in teaching learning process like C3MS model is one of them that based on social-constructivist approach and co-operative learning. The main aim of the current research is to study adjusted mean achievement scores of experimental group who taught through C3MS Model with the traditional group who taught through traditional method by taking pre-achievement as covariate. The sample for the study was 108 students of two teacher trainees colleges i.e. 58 trainees of Shri Vaishnav College of Teachers Training for experimental group and 50 trainees of Maharishi Institute of Management for traditional method group. The data were collected by the achievement test which was developed by the investigators. The presents study was experimental in nature and among the experimental research design, a non-equivalent control group design was used. The data were analysed with the help of One Way Analysis of Co Variance. The finding of the present research study was that the C3MS model found to be more effective as compared to traditional method with reference to achievement in education psychology when pre-achievement scores in education psychology was taken as covariate.
