Programmed Learning Material: An Effective Strategy to Teach Accountancy

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to study the effectiveness of Programmed Learning Material Strategy for teaching Accountancy to class XI students. It employed Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The intact group as existed in the school were taken for experimentation. One of the group was taught Accountancy through Programmed Learning Material Strategy and the other group was taught the same concepts using Traditional Method Strategy. Tool used for study were Intelligence test and Achievement test. Sample of 84 students of class XI session 2017-2018 ofShardaKanyaH.S.School , Indore, were selected, using Random Sampling technique. Data was analyzed using One - way ANCOVA. The adjusted F-value is10.391, which is significant at 0.01 level with df = 1/81. Treatment was found to be effective in terms of Achievement in Accountancy when pre Achievement is taken as covariate.
