Factors Affecting Productivity of Phytoplankton in Arasalar Estuary of Tamil Nadu, South India
Abstract
Hydrological studies were for six months covering monsoon, summer and transition periods in a estuary, chiefly to understand the plankton productivity. The physical factors like temperature, light, pH and chemical factors like dissolved O2 , CO2, carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride nitrate, phosphate, sulphate, calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium were potassium were estimated.
