Abstract

This paper aims to investigate the most satisfying friendly policies in the IT sector. The findings of the present study revealed that work and family life needs to be integrated and balanced by organizations through employee-friendly policies. The study also reveals interesting implications in friendly policies, useful to academics, practitioners and especially to organizations as a greater emphasis on these policies could affect the overall success of the organizations. Rapid growth in the IT sector has created a transformation in the working approach that has shown a strong influence on the work and family lives of the employees due to stress, high targets, lack of personal time and work-family imbalance. As employees increasingly face challenges in balancing work with family commitments, the workplace could provide support with the help of EFPs. The sample consisted of 500 employees working in the IT sector in Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park which is the second-largest IT hub in India. A structured questionnaire, with a five-point Likert scale, was used. Descriptive analysis and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to analyze the level of satisfaction regarding the different five dimensions of EFPs.
