Changing Nature of Journalism in India in Digital Era

Abstract

Today, as debates about ??the end of print journalism is being felt from west to east countries. This fear has undoubtedly been created by the emergence of digital media. In such times it is appropriate to argue whether something similar will happen in India too. But, before these things, it is necessary to explain what print journalism really means. Are we talking about the physical paper on which the news is displayed or are we talking about the practice of putting black and white words into major events in our societies? What is actually changing- methods of publication of news or consumption behavior of people? This paper underscores the changing state of journalistic practices due to the emergence of digital technology in India.
