IMPACT OF STRESS ON THE WORK PERFORMANCE OF THE EMPLOYEES: A SURVEY CONDUCTED WITH BANK EMPLOYEES IN CUDDALORE DISTRICT

Abstract

The organizations are, in the present scenario, following strategies for reducing stress among employees, for making them feel stress free. This will surely enable the employees to perform better and in return this would increase the ROI of the organization. The main aim of this paper is to examine the relationship among factors that lead to job stress. Efforts are also taken to identify the impact of ob stress on the performance of employees. The data of the study was collected in Cuddalore. The main tool for primary data collection was a questionnaire. Simple random sampling was adopted for this study. A total of 100 questionnaires were collected for the study. Work performance is predicted by stress. This is the final result of the study; it was found that six items did not predict employees work performance. Further it was found that nearly 58% of the factors of stress had their influence on employees work performance.
