THE EFFECT OF RESTAURANT EMPLOYEES’ BURNOUT ON ORGANISATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR IN CUDDALORE DISTRICT

Abstract

The main aim of the study is to create a relationship among the employee burnout and the organizational citizenship behavior.. The author had performed his study among the employees of restaurants in the district of Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu. In line to examine the relationship between burnout and organizational citizenship behavior, researcher used burnout as independent variable and organizational citizenship behavior as dependent variable. The method of simple random sampling was adopted to select the sample population for the study. The sample size of the study was affirmed to be as 100.  The level of variance is represented by the multiple correlations squared. In the present study, the variance of 60% is exhibited by burnout towards the organizational citizenship behavior.. Since the squared multiple correlations are positive, the adj. R2 is also more appropriate. Hence there was noticeable positive relation between burnout and organizational citizenship behavior.
