A STUDY OF SATISFACTION OF THE PEOPLE IN CHIDAMBARAM TOWN REGARDING POLICIES OF LIFE INSURANCE CORPORATION (LIC)

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to examine and recognize the factors that make an impact on the selection of policy in LIC. This will enable the insurer to spread the losses of risk among large number of persons. The sample population of the current research is a defined one. The study was conducted among the people of the town-Chidambaram. It is a rural place. The studys sample population was policy holders of the life insurance corporation (LIC). The sample size was 100. Analysis of data was done by employing statistical tools of regression. The findings of the study showed that the factors of influence (independent variable) and satisfaction (dependent variable) were related to each other. By way of multiple regression, R2 (The coefficient value), was determined to be 0.496. This indicated that 49.6% of the variables which were independent had their impact on satisfaction of policy in LIC. In short, it can be said that, the holders of policy in Life Insurance Corporation were satisfied.
