INFLUENCE OF TRAINING ON JOB PERFORMANCE AMONG MEDICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVES

Abstract

The article tries to identify the influence of training on job performance among medical sales representatives. Sample size was 252 and obtained through simple random sampling technique in Chennai. Researcher used tested tools with 5 point scale in the continuum of agreeing. Path analysis was used for data analysis. The analysis found that there is influence of training objectives and trainer on job performance among medical sales representatives in Chennai. The analysis found that there is influence of job performance on organizational performance among medical sales representatives in Chennai. It is concluded that training is necessary for sales representatives who have just been promoted to a superior level job. Similarly training increases the knowledge and skills of sales representatives. This helps sales representatives to perform their job much better, improve their personality, attitude and also increases their level of self confidence and impact at work. Training also helps in the development of sales representatives.
