Relationship between Organizational Culture and Job Performance of Library Professionals in University Libraries in Varanasi

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between organizational culture and job performance of library professionals. The study primarily focused on the perception of library professionals regarding organizational culture and job performance in university libraries in Varanasi. In this study the researcher made use of a descriptive survey design. A total enumeration sampling technique was used for the selected sample. The research sample consisted of 35 library professionals. The instrument used for the present study was a structured questionnaire divided into two parts. Statistics for data analysis were frequencies, percentages, mean score, regression, p-value and Std. deviation etc. Findings of this study revealed that there is no significant relationship between Organizational culture and job performance of library professionals in University libraries in Varanasi. Furthermore, it can be concluded that female library professionals have opinionated high Organizational culture.
