Abstract

This study mainly concern with the reuse of waste material of steel extraction industry as a concrete constituents in its partial replacement with river sand by varying percentages and checking of the strength of that concrete with varying percentages of replacement. The tests such as split tensile strength, Compression and Flexural strength tests are taken to conclude that, at what percentage of replacement os enhancing the strength. And having another perspective for this is the constituent i.e. river sand is generally taken from the river beds is harmful as far as environmental issues are concern. It may tends to enhance the flood problems. So, there is need tointroduce new materials such as Iron Slag Sand. This study is helpful for getting the suitaibility of Iron slag sand as a concrete constituent and its definite partial replacement.
