Recent Position of Jammu and Kashmir under Indian Federation

Abstract

Jammu and Kashmir has always remained under a turmoil from the very inception. It held Special position due to Article 370 which in itself was debateable.

The strong political will power of the present Government lead to conclude this problem by annulling the effect of Article 370 and transforming Jammu and Kashmir from the status of State to the Union Territories  of  Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly has been provided to the Union Territory of Jammu amd Kashmir conferring it the status of partial statehood like Delhi and Puducherry.

Article 35 A which prohibited rest of Indians from purchasing land and invest money in Jammu and Kashmir has also been put to end which implies that rest of Indians can now purchase land and other immovable property and invest money in Ladakh and Jammu-Kashmir.
