Abstract

Multisensory image fusion or pan sharpening is to improve the spatial and spectral information of multispectral (MS) images using the panchromatic (PAN) image with the help of Filter, Transformation technique and Fusion rules. In proposed work using the Laplacian filter which is doing sharpening on MS image and Edge Preservative filter which is apply on PAN image so image in deducted edges. The transform approaches Multi-Scaling Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Multi-Resolution Discrete Rippled Transform (DRT) apply on Filtered image. Then Weighted Fusion rules is apply so getting the fusion image and again apply the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO).PSO is getting actual information of images(MS and PAN). Hear using the satellite IKONOSdataset.
