Abstract

Digitalization is indispensible part to every individual, business organization and a nation in fast growing environment. Digitalization is the process of integrating the digital technologies in day to day life, which becomes important as we all are moving towards cashless economy where many new services were launched by government in order to facilitate trading on mobile. This research is conducted to study the concept of Digitalization and how economy is moving from E-Commerce to M-Commerce. Furthermore, this research is performed to study the various tools of M-Commerce and how it is important for customers as well as marketers. In current scenario, for marketing of value (good, service, idea.) digital platform is used by all the marketers in order to better reach to the widely spread existing as well as potential customers. And Consumers also use digital platform to transact over internet using electronic-commerce which comprises of electronic fund transfer, mobile commerce, internet marketing, and supply chain management etc. E-Commerce involves purchasing and selling of goods and services using internet and M-Commerce also known as Mobile commerce, is the activity of purchasing and selling commodities as well as services using mobile phone or any other tablet device. In recent years, the trends exhibits that sales from E-Commerce in which sales originated from M-Commerce are rising very rapidly. This research concluded that M-Commerce is evolution or we can say extension of E-Commerce as transaction through M-Commerce is rising very rapidly than any other channel for transacting online, selling and marketing. Furthermore, this study concluded that m-commerce plays very vital role and integral in the digital platform as approximately 80% of users of internet having smart phones, so m-commerce cannot be ignored by marketers as well as customers.
