HIDDEN POTENTIAL OF AGRICULTURAL WASTE: CONVERSION INTO VALUABLE MATERIALS

Abstract

This article outlines important facts about conversion of agricultural wastes into some valuable materials. The article covers the threat posed by these wastes to the society and the environment. Composition of these wastes and based on it, their conversion into various materials is suggested. More emphasis is given on the glasses and glass-ceramics. This article reviews some of the recent articles appeared in the literature on the waste to wealth idea.
