Abstract

Azadirachta indica, commonly known as neem. It is having widespread range of medicinal properties.  Owing to, it is attracted worldwide prominence in recent years. Since many years, it has been extensively used in Homoeopathic medicine, Unani and Ayurveda.  It is having wide varieties of chemically and structurally diverse biological active. The leaves, flowers, seeds, fruits, roots and bark parts of the neem tree have been used traditionally for the treatment of various ailments such as dental disorders, skin diseases infections, fever, and inflammation. It is abundant of antioxidant activity. The neem leaf has been demonstrated with a lot of medicinal utilities like antibacterial, immunomodulatory, antiviral, anticarcinogenic properties anti-inflammatory, antimalarial, anti-hyperglycaemic, antifungal, antioxidant, antimutagenic and, antiulcer. This review demonstrates the important medicinal values of the neem plant which is being used to cure numerous disorders from the ancient time to today
