Income Tax Evasion and Tax avoidance in India and around the World: An Overview

Abstract

This research paper has discussed the existence of Tax Evasion and Tax Avoidance in the Indian Economy and around the World. The study has further analyzed the scenario of tax evasion and avoidance and methods adopted for the same. There are a different set of reasons and ways adopted for tax evasion and avoidance in the Indian economy and around the world. Tax evasion and avoidance are some of the major problems of India or any country and badly affect its economic growth. Various measures have been taken in India and around the world but still, it is way ahead especially for developing economies and those which are moving from developing to developed economies.
