UTILIZATION OF DATA MINING TECHNIQUE IN INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM

Abstract

 An accelerated progression in the field of technology causes new cyber security threats. To fight through this threats intrusion detection system (IDS) are needed. It will let us know what all anomalies or threats are faced by system. But only using intrusion detection system is not sufficient, we should look after few parameters such as it should be of high accuracy and it should consume less time. Data mining techniques are used in various industries flourishingly and made their task easier. In this paper gives you the synopsis of the traditional intrusion detection system and the basic idea is to use data mining techniques in intrusion detection system.
