Abstract

This paper proposes the principle of total participation for management and improvement of quality of higher education in India. The proposed system will ensure the total participation of rural colleges in improvement of overall Indian higher Education system. The proposed Integrated Quality Management System can boost the already existing state-of-the-art IT infrastructure available with the main apex education bodies (UGC, AISHE, AICTE, NAA, BCE, ICAR, PCI etc.) in India. Integrated Quality Management System will allow the apex educational bodies to reach the individual stakeholder including students, faculty and supporting staff, without managing the databases of huge set of stakeholders. The integrated feedback and automated report generation system keep every stakeholder conscious for maintaining and improving quality of education in their respective institution. Evaluation of both the component of intelligence i.e. IQ and EQ of an individual polishes the definition of quality of education.
