Abstract

Wireless sensor network (WSN) are self configuring networks that operate without any central coordinator. Due such property of the network, security and energy consumption are major issue of wireless sensor networks. The security attacks are trigger by the malicious nodes which enter the network. The classification of attacks can be done in term of active and passive attacks. The sink hole attack in the active type of attack. In the sink hole attack the malicious nodes spoof identification of the base station and act like base station. The sensor nodes start transmitted data to malicious nodes instead of base station. The novel approach is designed in this research work for the detecting and isolating malicious nodes from the network. The novel approach is based on the identify verification. The proposed algorithm is implemented in MATLAB and results are analyzed in terms of certain parameters. Our proposed technique performs well in terms of all parameters as compared to existing techniques.
