Agricultural Finance by SBI in Telangana State – A Case Study of Medak District

Abstract

            In this paper the process of agricultural finance provided by banks with regard to SBI had been described. An open-ended questionnaire had been used to know the trend of agricultural loans availed by farmers in Medak district of Telangana State. The result of this study had revealed that farmers are comfortably availing loan from public sector banks i.e. State Bank of India. The most important finding is that farmers are believing that government policies are more favorable to farmers in the recent years for availing loan from public sector banks.
