STUDY ON THE ATTITUDE TOWARDS USES OF INTERNET OF COLLEGE GOING LEARNERS

Abstract

Reported is the study on the attitude towards uses of internet of college going learners. The present paper aims to study the attitude towards uses of Internet to college going learners and to study the attitude towards uses of Internet to college going learners in respect to their demographic variables. The investigator collected data from 100 college going learners by using purposive sampling technique. To constitute the sample five (5) colleges were conveniently selected from the district of Purba Medinipur of West Bengal. Data were analyzed by using qualitative methods. Results showed that boys possess more knowledge about uses of Internet than the girls. Junior Students (18-19 years) possess more favourable attitude towards the uses of Internet in college than the senior students. Science based learners possess more positive attitude towards the uses of Internet in college than the arts subject learners. General Caste teachers possess more favourable attitude towards the uses of Internet in college than the  SC, ST and OBC
