Nutrition Research in India: A Study of PhD Researches Conducted in Indian Universities and Institutions from 1936 to 2016

Abstract

The present paper presents the bibliometric study of the Indian thesis published in the field of nutrition. The data was obtained from the IndCat and analysed on the various parameters such as University, State, Subject heading etc. The data comprises of 1557 thesis out of which the majority was from Uttar Pradesh and university at the top was Punjab Agriculture University. The top three departments are Botany, Home Science and zoology with 451 theses.
