Abstract

In the present study, we investigate a two dimensional problem in a microelongated thermoelastic circular plate in the context of fractional order theory of thermoelasticity. The problem has been converted to an Eigen value problem by employing Laplace and Hankel transforms. The exact expressions for displacements, microelongation, temperature distribution, normal stress and tangential stress have been derived analytically in the transformed domain. The transforms have been inverted numerically to obtain the result in physical domain. The numerical computed results are depicted graphically for Lord-Shulman model and three fractional order models.
