Digitalization of Agricultural Products (E-Agri Commerce)
Abstract
Digitalization and cashless economy are the increasing focus of our world today. And in a Country like India , creating a Virtual Economy would be one of the best options. This Study examines the Scope of creating a Digital Portal which will be strictly dedicated for buying and selling of Agricultural products. This study also Analyses the perspective of people towards digitalization for purchasing basic groceries. As we know farmers in our country are suffering at the most , This portal will create an opportunity to stop their exploitation.
Working of the portal Farmers, manufacturers as well as retailers will register themselves and a specific ID similar to a private key will be provided to them. When a crop is harvested, Total quantity will be displayed along with the name and ID of the farmer. Manufacturers, retailers and customers will be able to purchase directly from the farmers. Prices will be fixed According to market forces of demand and supply, and transactions will be done digitally. Farmers will be able to avail proper credit facility and deals can be fixed directly , eliminating the risk of black marketing.This is an Analytical study conducted on people within the Age group of 20-55 years old. Data were collected through a reasonable and reliable Questionnaire. Major Findings includes that 87.9% people agrees to the point of view, While12.1% people are still favouring cash transactions. Response showed that 70% people dont prefer digitalization due to lack of knowledge, 30% due to the risk of cyber fraud.
