Abstract

This paper focusses on quasi-experimental study on the effectiveness of a flipped classroom for Physical Sciences especially at the secondary level. This study focuses on having view of students on effectiveness of flipped classrooms. Quasi experimental methodology is used; as purposeful sampling was used to have two sections as intact sections for the experimental study. One section (Experimental group) was taught using flipped classroom and one section (Control Group) by traditional methodology. The effectiveness of flipped learning as one of the teaching methods of active learning has been left unexamined in physics classroom. Questionnaires which comprised of multiple type questions were administered to find the effectiveness. Results showed that experimental group performed better than the control group. Students showed positive attitude towards implementation of flipped classroom.
